Here is a list of options for raising $500,000 in our opening campaign. There are endless options for pricing and what we offer, but here are a few simple ones to consider.
$5 x 100,000 This could be a pre-paid single "summer" admission to the park.
$10 x 50,000 This could be a pre-paid single "Fall" admission to the park.
$20 x 25,000 This could be a one time carload pass to the park.
$50 x 10,000 This could be a carload five year pass, good for up to eight people, and can be used once each year.
$100 x 5,000 This could be a carload five year pass, good for up to eight people, and could be used three times each year.
$200 x 2,500 This could be a special five year pass for scout troops and/or church youth groups.
$500 x 1,000 This could be used to sponsor a bus load of students, including covering the district's cost of transportation.
Any combination of these offers would meet the target goal of $500,000 which would be enough to pay off the land, install all weather parking, purchase needed equipment, purchase required berry plants, and begin construction on the Nature Center. Additional revenue streams would include other visitor admissions, plant sales, berry sales, camping, and other sources such as grants, corporate sponsors, and more.
Although there are several target groups for which I would love to provide free admission to the park, I don't want to be forced to offer more discounted admissions than what I wanted to or needed to. Having corporate sponsors and other outside revenue streams will be a great way to limit the number of discounted admissions we have to offer in our opening fundraising campaign.
